Terms of Service
Last updated 23 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Ido Levit, trading as CVArcade ("we", "us"), based in Tel Aviv, Israel. They cover the website at cvarcade.com and everything on it. By using CVArcade you accept them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
1. The service
CVArcade turns your CV into a small game that others can play.
- Draft. You upload a CV or paste its text. AI reads it and fills in a draft. You check and edit the draft.
- Preview. You play your draft in any template, for free. A preview lives at a private link. Anyone who has that link can see it, so share it with care.
- Publish. You pay once and your game goes live at a public link,
cvarcade.com/g/<your-link>, plus a plain-text version. - Stats. A published game comes with simple visit statistics, shown only to you in your account. They are approximate (some browsers block counting), have no accuracy guarantee, and we may change or remove them. See the Privacy Policy for what is counted.
You must be at least 16 years old to use CVArcade.
2. Accounts
You don't need an account to upload, edit or preview. To publish, and to manage your games at your account, you sign in with an email code or with Google. Sign-in is run by Clerk, our authentication provider. Keep access to your email account safe: whoever controls it can sign in as you.
3. Your content
- You own it. Your CV and everything you write stay yours.
- You give us permission to use it for the service. You let us store, process, display and share your content, only as needed to run CVArcade: to build your draft, show your previews, and host and display your published game, its text version and its share picture to anyone who visits it. This permission ends when you delete your content, except for copies we must keep by law (see the Privacy Policy).
- Only upload your own CV. Don't publish a game about someone else, and don't pretend to be anyone. This is why the name on a published game can only change slightly after it goes live.
- Be truthful, and careful with other people's details. What your game says about you must be true: don't claim jobs, degrees or titles you don't have. Only include details about other people, such as referees or colleagues, if you're allowed to share them.
- Published means public. Anyone with the link can see your published game and its text page. We ask search engines not to list them, but we can't control copies others make.
4. AI accuracy
AI reads your CV and can make mistakes. It can miss things, get dates wrong or misread a detail. That's why you check every field before you publish. You're responsible for what your published game says.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use CVArcade to:
- publish anything unlawful, hateful, harassing or misleading;
- commit fraud, impersonate anyone, or send spam;
- infringe anyone's copyright, trademark or other rights;
- upload malware or anything meant to harm a device or a person;
- probe, attack or overload the service, or get around its limits or security;
- scrape or copy the service or other people's games in bulk.
6. Takedowns and termination
We may remove content, take a game offline, or block access when we believe it breaks these terms or the law, or when a court or authority requires it. Where we can, we'll tell you why. To report a game, use the Report this page link at the bottom of its text version (Read as text in the game), or email hello@cvarcade.com with its link.
You can stop using CVArcade at any time. "Delete everything" in your account removes your games and takes any live game offline.
7. Payment
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Dodo Payments. Dodo Payments is the Merchant of Record for all our orders.
Dodo Payments handles the checkout, payment, invoices, taxes and refunds. Your purchase is also covered by Dodo Payments' Buyer Terms and Privacy Policy. For anything about your game, a payment or a refund, email us at hello@cvarcade.com; we sort it out with Dodo Payments.
- Publishing a game is a one-time payment per game. There's no subscription and nothing renews.
- The checkout shows the total in US dollars, with any tax or VAT, before you pay. If your card is in another currency, your bank converts it and may charge a fee.
8. Refunds
Not happy? You get a full refund within 30 days, no questions asked. See the Refund Policy for how it works.
9. How long your game stays up
A published game stays live at its link for as long as CVArcade runs, unless you delete it, it is refunded or charged back, or we take it down under section 6. You can edit and republish it as often as you like. If we ever close the service, we'll give you at least 90 days' notice by email.
10. No warranty
We work hard to keep CVArcade running and correct, but as far as the law allows, we provide it "as is". We can't promise it will always be available, free of errors, or right for your purpose.
11. Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost job opportunities, profits or data. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for your CVArcade games (through Dodo Payments) in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, or takes away rights you have as a consumer.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, with exclusive jurisdiction in the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Yafo. If you're a consumer, you also keep any protection that the law of your country gives you and that can't be waived.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here and change the date at the top. If a change matters, we'll email account holders before it takes effect. Using CVArcade after a change means you accept the new terms.
