Short definitions of the terms used on this site, so each one means the same thing wherever you meet it.

Interactive resume

A resume you explore instead of scroll: a web page where the reader moves through your career, usually role by role. CVArcade builds one from an existing CV as a small browser game. Read the guide

Gamified resume

A resume that borrows from games, with stops along a route, a map or a little play. Many are hand-built coding projects. CVArcade makes one from your CV in one of three worlds. Read the guide

Resume website

A CV published as a web page with its own link, so it can be shared where a PDF is awkward. A CVArcade page lives at cvarcade.com/g/ followed by the address the owner chooses. Read the guide

Applicant tracking system (ATS)

Software employers use to collect and sort job applications. It reads the document you upload, usually a PDF or a Word file, and not a game or a web page. Resumes and ATS

Start card

The first screen of every CVArcade game: the name, headline, current role and top skills, with a choice to play or read, so a reader has the basics straight away.

Plain-text version

A text page with the same content as the game, for readers who would rather skim and for screen readers. Every CVArcade game has one. See an example

Preview and published game

A preview is the private, free version of a game, viewable by anyone with its link and editable only from the browser that made it. A published game has a public link and is paid for once. Pricing

Three worlds, one CV

One price, paid once

Free to build and preview. $19 once to publish. 30-day refund.
